After ten long years of fight against breast cancer, she passed away in the year 1989. Handler was raised Reform Judaism by her father and grandfather, who were Jewish. Handler resided in a beautiful neighborhood with a happy upbringing. Handler moved into Los Angeles when she was 19 years old, in order to pursue a career in acting. Handler employed as an actor to help support her family. Handler aged 21 years of age, decided to focus on stand-up comics full time following her discovery of storytelling. Beginning Of career Handler began her stand-up career in the Oxygen network's all-female cast of the hidden camera/comedy reality TV series Girls Behaving Poorly. The show ran from 2002 until 2005. The handler worked on many other shows like Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice as well as Weekends at D.L. Handler has also worked as the correspondent of The Tonight Show. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006 when she was named host on E! Named The Chelsea Handler show. The show ran for two seasons.
